This place serves up the best jerk chicken in the DMV...if you not from yard you may miss my point. Some are use to the commercial jerk and Jamaican food you find on holiday at the tourist spots. Or some one wan try a ting... However, Frank is serving the real deal countryside yard food. Real jerk not need sauce dripping, when you know yard food everything a marinated over day and night to get through the meat...no sauce needed unless another cuisine you look for (american bbq)

Perhaps I am a harsh critic but when someone says they are giving me jerk chicken, I expect a certain flavor... The chicken by it self just grilled is pretty good. IT HAS NO JERK SEASONING!!! Their website promotes the jerk seasoning they use, WTF... Red beans and rice were dry and bland. However, lo and behold I found a spicy beef patty that was excellent!!! My search is over! Best thing they have that I tried, trust me go get a couple and be happy...

Jerk chicken was okay. Could have been better because they ran out of jerk sauce. They did offer to give me more but I would've had to wait 20 minutes. I ordered a spicy beef patty and she gave it to me as I waited for my chicken. The patty was excellent and I should have brought 2. The cabbage was also very tasty, not too soft or salty. I would go again but have to make sure they have Jerk sauce on hand.

I am a event planner, in the DMV area, and I had a client that was getting married in less then a week and was in need of a caterer ASAP: the one she'd retained earlier on in her planning process had gone MIA for some reason, so the bride was forced to retain another caterer at the last minute. She stopped by to see Paulette (store owner) at Caribbean Gardens, since she and her fiance had patronized the restaurant; and the food was always so good: she need to know if they'd be able to cater her event with such a short window of time, and 130 guest arriving. Ms. Paulette assured her that she would take care of everything. Take care of everything she did! The food was soooo good, that the guest complimented and request the caterer's name and information the entire evening. Caribbean Garden's saved a "Bride in distress" and me too as her wedding planner. I will continue to recommend this restaurant to all of my clients in the future. Awesome food and EXCELLENT Customer service.--it's hard to find those two qualities anywhere now a days in a business. Thanks Caribbean Garden's for being a "cut" above the rest

Stopped in specifically for good beef patties. Every time (I'm often disappointed) I go to a Caribbean/Jamaican restaurant I pray that they have homemade patties, haven't ran into one yet and this establishment is no different. Even so the patties they had fulfilled my craving good enough.

I go to this hole-in-the-wall Jamaican place in a little strip mall on New Hampshire Ave. for only one reason: delicious jerk chicken. I don't know whether the rest of the menu is as good because that's all I ever order. It's very smoky and spicy and comes with generous sides of rice&beans, plantains, and slaw. The guy cooks it in a barbecue out on the sidewalk, often with reggae music blaring from loudspeakers set up outside. There are a few tables inside but the ambience is a bit shabby, so I get mine as takeout, grab a six pack of Dogfish Head 60-minute IPA next door at Shop-Rite Liquors, and I'm on my way with a perfect meal.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
